While TV viewers are known to quickly change their taste in TV shows, last week’s debut of Pawnography, clearly shows viewers have not lost their appetite for Pawn related shows.
History channel has taken its most popular of reality shows, Pawn Stars, and has moved it into a game show format with Pawnography. The game show has contestants face off against the wit and brains of Rick Harrison,Corey and Chumlee in a round of trivia questions. Cash prizes are awarded and contestants have an opportunity to walk away with valued items from the personal collection of the Pawn Shop. Once again, Rick is given the spotlight to show off his knowledge base about the items he stands to lose.
The premier show had 2.8 million viewers tuning in, 1.2 million of the viewers were in the 25-54 year old age group.
Pawn Stars, the crown jewel of the History channel reality show line up, had pulled in over 3 million viewers in the season opener.
